The Story Beneath The Story

In this episode, we visit "The Idiot," a folktale put to us by A. G. SEKLEMIAN. It chronicles the life of a wealthy man who, after squandering his fortune, begins a vast search for his missing good luck. I wonder, after following his arduous journey, if the true remedy for profound life misfortune might be something we overlook, something we don't even know we're searching for.

Once the story concludes, I take you back to a deeply personal memory of traversing the bustle of a Vadodara train station in India. This sensory journey, filled with the precise details of Indian travel, echoes the man's own restless searching. Together, story and memory led me to reflect on the philosophies of time, realizing that sometimes we are so focused on the future that we miss the simple joy of the current moment.
