The Story Beneath The Story
I enjoyed revisiting "The Adamant Door," found in Henry Beston's *Starlight Wonder Book*, as this bonus episode continuation. The core story follows a soldier named Hugh who journeys towards a ruined castle, leading me to question what might truly be the greatest hidden treasure. Does the legendary hoard await those who are brave enough to conquer a specific, invisible foe?
Even though this episode is a deep dive into the ancient story, the narrative structure felt intensely personal, drawing me into Hugh's moment of revelation. It wasn't until the end that the mighty foe made sense, shifting the entire focus from external monsters to the powerful, yet silly, imaginings that live within us.
